Ryan Holmes is a committed family man. He is committed to his wonderful wife and children, and through his support of ICE, he is also committed to keeping other families separated. Did you know that ICE has detained and held in custody more than 500 babies and toddlers (source)?
He also used to be the CEO of Hootsuite, but left that role for the first time in 2019. In an interview with the Financial Post, he said it was not about the financial performance of the company.
This is definitely something you say when the company failed to sell, and lays off 10% of it’s workforce.

Ryan Holmes has a man-bun. Or recently had a man-bun, in case he cut it off.
We’re not really here to hair shame, but we think this is an important thing to bring up. The man-bun as a hairstyle has never really been taken seriously, except as the butt of a type of joke that peaked in 2016.
There are a few people who can pull it off: Brad Pitt. Maybe one other person.
So we’re left with the conclusion that either Ryan is so full of himself that he thinks this hairstyle looks good.
Or he is so hilariously out of touch that he doesn’t know how ridiculed it is.

It’s crazy that Hootsuite has been using this as a marketing line at the same time that they brought back their old CEO.
But here we are: Ryan Holmes back as CEO. I mean, he was a board member for a while so I guess that makes sense.
Within his first 15 days he had a fabulous LinkedIn post about where he thought Hootsuite was and where it was going.
Imagine how delighted the entire organization was when this guy stepped back in for 15 days and had a magic solve for everything.
