But it’s about making a serious point: Hootsuite is a Canadian company that has contracts with US Immigrations & Customs Enforcement, an organization that is executing citizens in the streets, kidnapping children, illegally detaining people, and worse.

We are Democracy Rising, and we built this website because we’re disgusted by a local Vancouver company continuing to work with an organization like ICE despite protest and pushback. 

We’re asking for three things: 

1. For Hootsuite to cancel the current contract with ICE.

2. For Hootsuite to publicly apologize for working with ICE and condemn the organization for committing human rights violations.

3. For Hootsuite to develop and follow a set of guidelines that ensures their technology and services are never again used by an organization like ICE.
